MÁDARA COSMETICS x LINSEY: How I Turned A Skincare Campaign Into A Game

Interactive Beauty Content, Gamification & A Skincare Line That Actually Helped My Skin
THE PROJECT
Some collaborations just make sense. I had already known MADARA Cosmetics since my early blogging days and genuinely loved their products long before we started working together professionally.
Especially their acne skincare line. So when we teamed up to create content for the collection, the project instantly felt personal in the best way possible.
The goal wasn’t creating traditional skincare content. It needed to feel interactive, playful and visually interesting enough to stop people mid-scroll.
THE CONCEPT
For this collaboration, I focused heavily on gamification and audience interaction. Instead of creating static beauty content, I turned the campaign into mini interactive social media experiences.
One of the concepts became: Skin Game. Inspired by internet culture and playful online trends, viewers had to use Instagram’s & TikTok’s “tap & hold” feature to try and hit one of my “pimples” using MADARA’s acne spot treatment. But obviously… I made it glamorous.
Instead of realistic acne, I used glitter details styled like sparkly fake pimples to keep the visuals aesthetic, playful and still fashion-forward.
Another concept used Instagram’s double-tap behavior as part of the visual itself:
viewers had to “fill” a heart shape on my face by liking the post. Which secretly turned engagement into part of the creative experience itself.
THE VISUALS
This collaboration became a mix of: beauty content, interactive storytelling, social media psychology and playful internet culture.
The visuals combined:
- skincare storytelling
- gamification marketing
- interactive beauty content
- aesthetic product campaigns
- social-first content creation
- playful engagement concepts
All while still keeping the content visually clean, recognizable and very MADARA.
THE RESULTS
The collaboration resulted in highly interactive content that encouraged people to actively engage instead of only watching passively.
